Watching National Day Fireworks from a Yacht in Dubai
For many people, fireworks are the moment that makes UAE National Day feel like a real celebration. Watching them from the water, with the city lights around you and your own group on deck, is something special. If you are planning to watch from the water, this National Day fireworks yacht Dubai guide explains how the shows are announced, what happened in recent years and how we plan the evening – honestly, without promises we cannot keep.
When are the National Day fireworks announced?
Fireworks for Eid Al Etihad are organised by the city and by event venues, not by yacht operators. The times and places are announced each year, usually in late November, once the official programme for the celebrations is ready. Until then, nobody can say for certain which spots will have a show or at what time.
That is why we never sell a “fireworks cruise” with a fixed time. We share the official information with our guests on WhatsApp as soon as it is published, and the captain uses it to plan the route on the evening.
Where were the fireworks in recent years?
Looking at recent years gives an idea of what to expect, although it is not a promise for 2026. In Dubai, fireworks for National Day have been held at Bluewaters at around 8, 9 and 10 PM, and at JBR at around 9 PM. Both areas are close to Dubai Marina, where our cruise starts, so they are natural places to consider when the captain plans the evening.
If the official programme for 2026 is similar, a 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM cruise covers the hours when shows have usually taken place. But the programme can change, a show can be moved or called off at short notice, and some displays are not visible from the water at all. Please treat these examples as background, not as a schedule.
How the route is planned on the evening
The National Day package runs on 1, 2 and 3 December from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The route on each evening is planned with the captain, based on three things:
- Official announcements – the published times and places of the celebrations.
- Sea conditions – wind and waves decide where the yacht can stay comfortable and safe.
- Instructions from the authorities – on busy nights, the coast guard and marine authorities can close areas or set distances that every boat must respect.
Because of this, we cannot promise an exact spot or an exact time. What we can promise is that the captain makes the right decisions for your group on the night, based on the information available and the safety rules.
What the evening looks like
You board at Dubai Marina for 6:30 PM, when the towers start to light up in the national colours. The early part of the cruise is usually relaxed: music on the speakers, soft drinks, photos on the flybridge and the pink aft deck. Later in the evening the captain positions the yacht according to the plan for the night, and the cruise ends back at the marina at 10:30 PM.
Price and booking
The package is priced as the weekday (Mon–Thu) hourly price × 2 for 4 hours: 4 × AED 1,800 × 2 = AED 14,400 for the whole yacht and up to 20 guests. Extras such as the birthday package (+AED 300) are added on top. There is one group per yacht per evening, so the three National Day evenings are limited – booking early is the safest way to secure the date you want.
See all the details on the National Day yacht page, or go straight to the booking form for 2 December. The form sets the time and duration automatically.
Practical tips for a fireworks evening
- Bring a light jacket: December evenings on the water feel cooler than in the city.
- Charge your phones – night photos and videos use a lot of battery.
- Every guest needs a valid original ID (passport or Emirates ID).
- Arrive 15 minutes early; the cruise ends at 10:30 PM because the yacht takes one group per evening.
